INFORMATION ABOUT THE U3A CINEMA GROUP
The U3A Cinema Group is an established group which was started in April 2011. It began as a small Solent group and has evolved over the years with more local U3As joining. We now have 6 local U3As under the one umbrella: Solent, Gosport, Locks Heath, Stubbington, Warsash and Meon Valley, so it does get rather busy!
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Reel Cinema in Fareham to see a private showing of a current or recent film. Tickets cost £3.50 plus another £1 for a combi ticket which includes a hot drink.
Doors open at 9.30 am with the film starting at 10.30 am. We do not meet in August or December.
On arrival at the cinema you will be expected to show your membership card then go up the stairs (or in the lift if needed) to pay for your ticket before taking your seat. We usually have 3 screens with one showing sub-titles. It is free seating so you can choose where to sit and with whom to sit. It is essential that you let me know if you wish to see the film.
